Description

Delicious and crispy air fryer French fries made with high-starch Russet potatoes and seasoned with garlic and Parmesan.


Ingredients

  • 4 medium Russet Potatoes (High starch content for crispiness)
  • 12 Tbsp Olive Oil (Substitution: avocado oil or grapeseed oil)
  • Salt (To taste)
  • Black Pepper (To taste)
  • 3 cloves Fresh Garlic (Minced)
  • ¼½ cup Grated Parmesan Cheese (Substitution: Pecorino Romano or nutritional yeast)
  • 1 tsp Dried Parsley
  • 1 tsp Dried Oregano

Instructions

  1. Scrub potatoes well, then cut them into uniform ½-inch sticks for even cooking.
  2. Soak the cut potatoes in cold water for about 15-30 minutes to remove excess starch, then drain thoroughly and pat perfectly dry.
  3. In a bowl, toss the dry potato sticks with olive oil, salt, and pepper until lightly coated.
  4. Preheat your air fryer to 380°F (190°C).
  5. Arrange fries in a single layer in the basket and air fry for 12-20 minutes, shaking the basket every 5 minutes until golden and crispy.
  6. While fries are cooking, whisk together the minced garlic, grated Parmesan cheese, dried parsley, and dried oregano.
  7. Transfer the hot, cooked fries to a large bowl and immediately toss them with the garlic-Parmesan mixture until fully coated.
