Description

Delicious butter cookies that are soft in the center and slightly chewy around the edges.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup Butter (Unsalted, Room temperature)
  • 1 1/4 cups Granulated sugar
  • 3 Egg yolks (From large eggs)
  • 2 tsp Vanilla extract
  • 1/8 tsp Almond extract
  • 2 1/2 cups All-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp Baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp Cream of tartar

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  2. Add egg yolks, vanilla extract, and almond extract and mix until smooth.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and cream of tartar.
  4. Dump this dry mixture into the wet mixture and mix everything until you have a dough-like mixture.
  5. Scoop out small portions of the dough and roll them into little balls.
  6. Place them on a cookie tray, lined with parchment paper.
  7. Bake these cookies at 350 degrees F for 13-15 minutes or until they are golden brown around the edges and slightly soft in the center.
